Champion Mindset
As a player, you are constantly competing against yourself and other players.
Every time you train, someone else is training just as hard as you.
Every time you go on a run, someone else is just finishing theirs.
Every time you work out, someone else just picked up a weight for another set.
You have straight A’s, someone else has straight A’s.
You’re on Varsity, someone else has been on varsity longer.
You see, everyone who wants to be the best is working hard and trying to get better. Everyone has something that thinks separates them from others… but in reality this just puts them in a larger group of people that are “different”
In a group full of “different” people, you are now ordinary. Being different is the norm with this group.
So how do you stand out in a group full of the uncommon? How do you become rare and special amongst a group of exceptional people? How are your different from the rest?
Well – it all starts with your mindset. You must recognize what it takes to stand out. You must learn and understand how to become uncommon in a group full of uncommon people.
Christen Press (USA World Cup Champion) once said during training, “Being different wins, doing more when no one is watching wins. No one in our army is every satisfied with where they are at. We’re a group of tenacious dogs looking to get better every day and be the best. Be special. Be rare. Be different.”
